We Have Found the World’s Coolest Cubby House

Are you guys ready to swoon? This gorgeous cubby house is basically what Pinterest dreams are made of! The creative mumma behind the Little Linzi dollhouses is at it again, this time creating a cubby that is cooler than most people’s houses. Well my house at least.

While most mums are trying to find the energy to cook something that didn’t come out of a box, Linzi Macdonald has been designing and creating, alongside her husband, what is probably the most on-trend cubby house around. Complete with upper deck, mailbox and indoor plants, this modern space is seriously inspiring.

The project has taken five months to build and every bit of her (actually not a builder) husband’s spare time and cost upwards of $5000 – even with sourcing the cheapest prices around. Downstairs is even completely sealed and waterproofed so it can be used for years to come.

Inside, an Ikea play kitchen, a server’s window and menu board transforms one corner into a little cafe with a shabby-chic feel.  little linzi awesome DIY cubby house

The entry is super cute, decorated with items from Second Hand Studio, storage baskets from My Messy Room and sunny wall stickers from Made Of Sundays.

There is even a little chill corner featuring pillows from Bandit Kids, some wall letters by One Two Tree along with some cool second hand finds. How rad are the stained glass windows?

The front porch is decorated with eclectic signs and painted stumps, perfectly contrasting with the matte black paint.

And upstairs, like any respectful cubby should, there is a viewing platform with steering wheels (those are from vintage cars by the way).little linzi awesome DIY cubby house

We salute you Linzi, what an epic effort. You deserve that milkshake.
