Special Programmes and Activities: St Ives Preparatory is a unique educational environment where curious boys thrive and grow amid rich, varied and rigorous learning opportunities. The curriculum incorporates engaging, in-depth explorations of all subjects and subject specific skills. St Ives Preparatory embraces a strong school-wide culture of reading and the joy of discovery. Our learning journeys in mathematics utilise real world settings and authentic problems so that the boys can develop risk-taking, problem solving and connect their learning to local and global scenarios. Inquiry questioning and investigative skills are developed and encouraged, enabling the boys to wonder about their world and research or explore their ideas. The school has both impressive curricula and extra-curricula programmes with the boys growing and learning in fields such as Music, Drama, Sport, the Visual Arts, Languages, Debating, STEM, Science and Chess. St Ives Preparatory is dedicated to developing rounded boys who are passionate about learning and keen to be active, informed and critical thinkers.General Comments: The School aims to develop intellectual curiosity and creativity in a supportive learning community in which individuals are encouraged and enabled to discover and develop their own talents and understandings.
